Nasa’s Juno makes the closest every flyby of Jupiter

NASA’s Juno, the spacecraft on a Jupiter mission, has successfully completed its first of 36 orbital flybys, coming closer to the giant planet than any man-made object before it. The time of the closest approach was on Saturday at 1.44pm GMT, when Juno passed about 4,200 kilometres above Jupiter’s clouds, the US space agency said on its website. At that time, Juno was travelling at a speed of 208,000 kilometres per hour, Efe news reported.

Samsung made a Batman-inspired Galaxy S7 Edge

Samsung has made a Batman-inspired smartphone ... really. In true ludicrous Samsung fashion, it's called the Galaxy S7 Edge Injustice Edition, and it features the superhero's logo in gold on the back. The device is commemorating the third anniversary of Injustice: Gods Among Us, and it's being produced in partnership with Warner Bros.

Google surprisingly wins $9bn ruling over Oracle, fair use affirmed by court



It became a bad day for Oracle yesterday as they lost a potential USD$9 billion court decision as a San Francisco jury ruled in favor of Google in the long-running legal saga. Oracle has maintained that the search giant should compensate them for the license to use Java in the programming of Android. The decision of the jury has put a dent to that contention.
