Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro hardware specifications surface online

Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro spotted on GFXBench

The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro with model name SM-A9100 has been spotted on GFXBench. Samsung was earlier said be working on a Galaxy A9 Pro variant, however, no information regarding specifications was disclosed. Now, it looks like the device has gone through the GFXBench benchmark and offers a few details on its hardware.


According to GFXBench, the purported Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro will sport a 5.5-inch display along with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1.8GHz Qualcomm octa-core processor paired with 4GB RAM. and Adreno 510 GPU. It will be running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.

The device will include an internal storage of 32GB and comes equipped with a 15MP rear camera along with a 7MP front facing camera. Few connectivity features include Accelerometer, GPS, compass, NFC, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, WiFi and Bluetooth.



In terms of display, the Samsung Galaxy A5 features a 5.2-inch display with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. It is powered by the Exynos 7580 SoC with a 1.6GHz octa-core processor paired with 2GB RAM. Running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, it includes an internal storage of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

It comes equipped with a 13 MP rear camera with f/1.9 aperture, OIS, autofocus and LED flash along with a 5MP front facing camera. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, ANT+, USB 2.0 and NFC. The Samsung Galaxy A5 houses a 2900mAh battery.

On the other hand, the Galaxy A7  features a 5.5-inch full-HD display with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. It is powered by Exynos 7580 SoC with a 1.6GHz octa-core processor paired with 3GB RAM. Running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, it includes an internal storage of 16GB which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

Earlier this month, Samsung announced that it was launching the new Samsung Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7 in India, priced at Rs. 29,400 and Rs. 33,400 respectively. Both devices support 4G LTE and run Android Lollipop v5.1. The company has said that the devices will receive the Android Marshmallow update soon. The Galaxy A5 (2016) comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display and is powered by an octa-core Exynos 7580 SoC with 2GB of RAM. It is equipped with 16GB of onboard storage that can be expanded by up to 128GB as well as a 2900mAh battery. At the back is a 13MP camera with a 5MP front facing camera. The Galaxy A7 (2016) is pretty similar to the A5. It has the same processor and offers the same amount of storage space. It also comes with the same 13MP and 5MP cameras. However, it has a slightly larger 5.2-inch Full HD display, 3GB of RAM and comes equipped with a larger 3300mAh battery.
