The Top Five Benefits of LTE Technology

It feels like smartphone technology is progressing at a rate as swift as the latest network speeds. Does it feel difficult to keep up with all of the terminology? The latest and greatest is LTE technology, which allows your new smartphones and tablets to move at super-fast speeds, to the tune of 100 mbps.

Compare this to the 14 mbps available using HSPA+ on a typical 3G network and you can see why this technology could be a real game-changer! But if you only use your smartphone to run a few apps and place calls to your friends, why should you care? Well, there are a number of ways in which LTE technology can help improve your smartphone experience. Here are five of the most important.

  1. Faster download times
One of the most obvious benefits of a faster network speed is that you’ll have greater ability to download apps, videos, and music on your mobile device. And there won’t be any more waiting around for your streaming video to buffer.
  1. A boost in productivity
Faster download and connection times also lead to the ability to conduct more work from a remote location. Apps can run more effectively without getting slowed down by slow data transfers, which means that you can share large files with your work colleagues at a great distance, almost instantly.
  1. More secure networks
What about network security? With all of this data being transferred so rapidly, will it be safe? LTE is actually safer than public Wi-Fi networks or 3G, because it supports 128-bit authentication and encrypted data. This means that you can shop online or pay your bills without worrying about your data being stolen.
  1. Better vocal quality
There’s always a heavy emphasis on download times and apps when talking about the benefits of 4G and LTE networks, but simple phone calls also benefit from this technology. Voice over LTE networks use a wireless provider to transmit your vocal call, in the same way that data is transmitted. This means that your vocal call moves at the same rapid speed as an email or text message would, rather than using a traditional circuit-based network. Your connection over a VoLTE network will be clearer, faster, and more efficient.
  1. Live video chats
Forget about hearing, what about seeing? Have you tried using FaceTime or Skype chats only to have it freeze up on you or cut out entirely? Video calls are much more efficient and user-friendly when they’re done over a speedy network like LTE with Nokia Networks. It will become easier to have a live video chat with your bank, your boss, or even your doctor for added convenience.
Many are comparing the leap from 3G to LTE technology as similar to the leap from dialup to broadband Internet connections. The enhanced speed allows developers to do a lot more with the medium, which means that the average consumer will have a more convenient, exciting, and connected smartphone user experience.

  1. For your kind info this all happens also in 3g network and you can constantly stream any video at 1080p. The main benefit of the 4g network is that it's implementation is less costly than 3g and for experiencing 3g network you should use a good net giver like Vodafone. Then you will know the real speed of 3g.

  2. I think you havent read the article carefully...just go through it once more....it increases wifi security to 128 bit WPA encryption which is not available in 3G and how can you forget that 4G is always better than 3G in case of speed....it just require proper configuration.
